Dr. Annet de Lange works as Professor Human Resource Management (Lector) at the HAN University of Applied Sciences in Arnhem and Nijmegen, and as Visiting Professor at the faculty of Norwegian School of Hotel Management, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Stavanger. Moreover, she is director of a Dutch Knowledge Center focusing on Sustainable work ability (NKDI; including representatives from the Dutch government, municipalities, Unions, large-scale and medium-sized companies, Healthy Ageing Northern Netherlands, temporary agencies, and researchers) which aims to develop evidence-based interventions to facilitate healthy ageing at work.

Pågående forskning

Her research activities are focused on “HRM and sustainable work ability of ageing workers”.

Focusing on topics like: longitudinal research, intra- and interindividual age effects across time, and conceptualizing aging at work. Her research has been extremely successful, culminating in a cum laude doctorate, several honorary prices (IBM Frye Stipendium, André Büssing Memorial Price, Stichting Praemium Erasmianum Prize, the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology best paper of past ten years Award), national and international grants, publications in top occupational health journals, media attention and invitations to present her research abroad (e.g., a keynote Healthy Ageing at Work, Small Group meeting Age Cohorts in the workplace, Trento, November 2011; b) SIOP conference, panel discussant on aging at work, April, 2012 San Diego, USA).

She has translated her research ideas into several successful PhD-proposals. Furthermore, she serves as consulting editor on journals like: Work & Stress, European Journal Of Work and Organizational Psychology, and served as special guest editor of several special issues focusing on Aging at work (Journal of Managerial Psychology, Journal of Organizational and Occupational Psychology, Gedrag & Organisatie).

In 2011, Annet de Lange she was chosen as the First European research fellow for the Sloan Center for Aging At Work (http://www.bc.edu/research/agingandwork).
