2007: Visiting Researcher, University of Houston, Collaboration with professor Michael Nikolaou in control engineering for drilling applications, 3 months stay.

1996-1999: Robot Engineer, TTS Automation AS. Developed robot production system for welding and cutting robots for shipyards. Responsible for a prototype welding robot system and for installing the first welding system at a shipyard in Canada. Prepared and trained the operators at the shipyard. Also experience from technical sales of robot systems in Europe and North-America.
1992-1996: Project Engineer, Kvaerner Energy AS. Developed software for a ship propulsion torquemeter. Participated in a gas turbine propulsion system project for high-speed ferry, and were involved in the whole project: technical sales, initial design, engineering, installation, commissioning and operator training of the gas turbine propulsion system.
1991-1992 Military Service at Royal Norwegian Navy Materiel Command, Haakonsvern, Bergen. Participated in specification and evaluation of integrated automation systems (IAS) for fast ships.
