Pågående forskning

Vitenskapshistorie og vitenskapsfilosofi. Er opptatt av hvordan  vitenskapshistorien blir formidlet, og hvordan vitenskapens historie kan bidra til økt interesse for og innsikt i naturvitenskaprn som fagområdet. 

Har skrevet en bok "Annerledestenkerne" (Universitetsforlaget, 2009, 3. utgave), der jeg forsøker å fremstille naturvitenskapens vekst på en litt ny måte.

Her kombinerer jeg kunnskapssosiologi (bl.a. T. Kuhn) og vitenskapsteori (bl.a. K. Popper) med filosofiens historie på en måte der disse ulike perspektivene belyser hverandre. Ved å gå gjennom og å beskrive den historiske utvikling av vår kunnskap om naturen, fra og med den første greske filosofene og opp til moderne vitenskap, får leseren vitenskapsteorietiske (dvs. abstrakte) poenger illustert med konkrete eksempler.
