Programområdet «Læreres profesjonsutvikling» inviterer til åpent seminar torsdag 02.11. kl.9 -12, Rom: HG R-218. Vi får besøk av Paul Warwick ved Faculty of Education, Cambridge University, som vil snakke rundt temaet "Analysing dialogue in professional and student learning contexts: considering work on dialogue analysis in the context of Lesson Study discussions and in ‘technology-enhanced classrooms’".
For further details:
Paul will first consider the place of dialogue as a tool for learning, and will then review his recent work on two research projects. The first of these involved devising and using a protocol for the examination of teacher learning through professional discussions. This work took place in the context of a large scale implementation of Lesson Study in London, where it was employed as a Professional Development approach for teachers implementing a new mathematics curriculum. The second project is on-going. Working with the University of Oslo, the DiDiAC team has been investigating the place of a micro-blogging tool in classrooms where a dialogic culture is being developed (http://www.uv.uio.no/iped/english/research/projects/didiac/index.html). The primary analysis of classroom videos has been completed and more detailed work is now being undertaken. The seminar will also include some practical work on ‘Talkwall’.
