Questions concerning settling and living in the Stavanger region can be addressed to our partner INN Rogaland's helpdesk.
The immigration support program offers help in dealing with immigration authorities and the different registration processes.
Housing Support includes information about the housing situation in Stavanger, assistance in finding temporary accomodation, and assistance in placing an advertisment on the internet and in the local paper.
The introduction seminar gives a brief introduction to UiS management, history, organization and government, vision and values, institutional culture, etc.
Full Day Area Orientation
The area orientationcovers Norwegian history, geography, politics, culture, health care system, daily life, safety, housing system, transport and concludes with a tour of Stavanger.
Language and Culture Course
UiS staff and PhD candidates can choose from two different Language and Culture Courses - the web based course MigraNorsk and the on-campus course offered by UiS EVU.

UiS staff and PhD candidates with families are welcome to participate inINN Rogaland's social and professional network.
