The Department of Education at The University of Yprk, UK, developed this highly specialised, awardwinning Master programme 14 years ago and are thrilled that they now can deliver this distance learning Masters programme in Norway.

The two-year programme commences in Norway on 2nd July 2012, in partnership with UiS Pluss, University of Stavanger, Norway.

The MA in TEYL comprises a one-week intensive face-to-face module delivered in Norway, and 8 multimedia, self-study modules. Emphasis within the modules is on the linking of theory and practice, making extensive use of material from authentic young learner classes.

Modules are highly structured, with detaled and directed study, supported by an online virtual learning environment. Throughout the programme, students have continuous guidance and support from a dedicated supervisor. Students are expected to study 13-18 hours per week and each module is assesed by a written assignment.

Upon successfull completion of the programme, students will be awared a full Masters qualification from the University of York.

There is an annual tution fee for each year on the programme. The tution fee for 2012/2013 is £5.090. For programmes commencing in 2013/2014 (including July 2013) there will be a similar fee. The fee for the second year og study is usually subject to an increase.
