Guided tour

  • 10.30 and 11.45: Guided tour on campus. Student Ambassadors will take you on a tour on campus Ullandhaug. Location: Foyer in Arne Rettedals house.


  • 10.00-10.20: Cities of the future – a tale of urban environments, technologiesand humans. Associate professor Daniela Müller-Eie, Department of Safety, Economics and Planning. Location: Kjølv Egelands hus E-101.

  • 10.00-10.20: Geosciences: The way to a rock solid career. Professor Alejandro Escalona, Departement of Energy Resources.  What are rocks? How are they formed? How do they impact your daily life? Location: Kjølv Egelands hus E-102.

  • 10.35: Why study English at the University of Stavanger? Nancy Wood, Associate professor, and   Eric D. Rasmussen, Associate professor, Department of Cultural Studies and Languages. Location: Arne Rettedals hus rom G-101.

  • 11.00-11.20: Conway’s Rational Tangles. Associate professor Tyson Ritter, Department of Mathematics and Physics.Take two ropes. Twist them up until they are completely tangled together. Keep twisting, and suddenly the ropes spring apart! It's not magic - just knot theory - and you can do it too, even with your eyes shut! Location: Kjølv Egelands hus E-101.
