University social welfare office (Husk)

A project organisation has been established in the department for social studies to develop new modes of collaboration between research, education, practice and users in cooperation with the social welfare services in Stavanger, Sandnes, Sola and Randaberg local authorities.

This team occupies its own premises in Kjell Arholm House and is headed by Aase Bø-Rygg, with Alice Kjellevold as academic leader. PhD students Anne Grete Jenssen and Kristin Humerfelt are also attached to the organisation.

The principal research and development topics will be user participation, development and consequences of Norway’s new Labour and Welfare Organisation (NAV) and applying the knowledge gained.
