Conference participants are invited to send proposals that correspond to the conference theme and strands:
Reconsidering the Basics in Early Childhood Education
1. Core values in policy, theory and practice
2. Children's rights: intentions and reality
3. Young children as active participants in institutions
4. Challenges concerning sustainable development: Globalisation - environment – responsibility
5. Professionalism and challenges/demands for professional development
6. Equitable and inclusive education in the early years
7. Transitions: collaboration and coherence
8. Curriculum and assessment
9. Children's play and learning in institutional contexts
10. Arts and creativity in early years
A proposal can be sumitted for:
-Individual paper presentation: 30 minutes including discussion. Individual papers will be grouped into larger symposia by theme.
-Self-organised symposium: groups may propose to organize 3 papers and a moderator around a common theme as a full session of 90 minutes. For Self- organized symposium, please submit one abstract for each of the presentations, including the theme of the symposium and the presenters.
-Poster presentation: Selected posters will be displayed, and sessions will be set up for conference participants to interact with poster presenters.
- Discussion group: discussion centered on a conference theme or sub-theme.
All papers, posters, and proposals for discussion groups on relevant subjects will be considered.

The name/s and institution of the presenter/s (If you wish to include more than one co-authors, please list them right below the abstract submission, in the same textbox)

A 250-word abstract (addressing the theme, identifying relevant conference strands, the aims of the research, theoretical and conceptual framework, methodology, and main findings).
