The airport of Stavanger, Sola, is situated 15 km from downtown Stavanger. The airport offers daily connections to various airports in Europe, such as London, Copenhagen, Amsterdam and Frankfurt. There are airport busses between Sola International Airport and Stavanger city centre every 20 minutes. A ticket costs NOK 70 one way. (www.flybussen.no)
BY RAIL
Stavanger Railway station is situated downtown Stavanger, opposite of the bus terminal, Byterminal. It offers regular service between Stavanger and Oslo. The journey takes approximately eigth hours. BY FERRY
Fjordline offers frequent departures between Bergen-Haugesund-Stanger and Newcastle (UK). Travelling by boat mey be less expensive than travelling by air, and you have a larger luggage allowance. More information and schedules are available on www.fjordline.no
