Should you apply as a local or international applicant?

Local applicants

  • Applicants who live in Norway and have a Norwegian ID number (fødselsnummer) must apply as a local applicant through local admissions, regardless of citizenship and educational background.
  • Applicants with a citizenship from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland or Iceland also need to apply as a local applicant.  
  • Local applicants who apply as an international applicant through the International Office will not be considered.

International applicants

  • Applicants without a Norwegian ID number (except citzens from Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland) must apply as an international applicant through the International Office.
