Offshore Technology - Master's Degree Programme

Online Admission

The online application system will be available from December 2014

- Application deadline for all students is 1st March 2015
Required documentation has to be either uploaded or delivered directly to the UiS (depending on the student category) by 5th of March 2015. 

Only COMPLETE electronic applications will be taken into consideration. 

Please note that the lack of qualified applicants for any of the offered specialisations may lead to cancellation of the offer of an area of specialisation.

Since we receive a high volume of applications, admission to this programme is very competitive. Applicants must demonstrate competitive academic standards and top grades. 

Industrial Asset Management:
Prerequisite: Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline. However, applicants with engineering degrees in mechanical, civil, marine, manufacturing, production, chemical process, mechantronics, etc., with a strong focus on technology, engineering and management of physical assets (machines, equipment, processes, production plants, etc.) and technical production processes will be given preference. Also candidates with relevant industrial experience may be given preference.

Risk Management:
Prerequisite: Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline. Additionally, 1 semester (1/2 year) of courses in mathematics with good grades are required.

Subsea Technology:
Prerequisite: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Marine Engineering or equivalent. Additionally, 1 semester (1/2 year) of courses in mathematics with good grades are required.

Please note that the lack of qualified applicants for any of the offered specialisations may lead to cancellation of the offer of an area of specialisation.  Applicants who have completed or are in the process of completing a similar MSc degree will not be prioritized for admission.
