Offshore Technology - Master's Degree Programme

Online Admission

The applicaiton deadline for the academic year 2015/2016 has now expired. The new application period for this programme starting in the academic year 2016/2017 begins in December 2015. The new online applicaiton system will be available from December 2015.

Important dates and information:
- Online Application Form opens in December 2015
- Application deadline for all students is 1st March 2016
- Required documentation must be either uploaded (for EU/EEA applicants) or delivered by post (for non-EU/EEA applicants) to the University of Stavanger no later than 5th March 2016

Only COMPLETE electronic applications will be taken into consideration. 

Please note that the lack of qualified applicants for any of the offered specialisations may lead to cancellation of the offer of an area of specialisation.

Since we receive a high volume of applications, admission to this programme is very competitive. Applicants must demonstrate competitive academic standards and top grades. 

Industrial Asset Management:
Prerequisite: Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline. However, applicants with engineering degrees in mechanical, civil, marine, manufacturing, production, chemical process, mechantronics, etc., with a strong focus on technology, engineering and management of physical assets (machines, equipment, processes, production plants, etc.), technical production processes and industrial experience will be given preference. Additionally, 1 semester (1/2 year) of courses in mathematics with good grades are required.

Risk Management:
Prerequisite: Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline. Additionally, 1 semester (1/2 year) of courses in mathematics with good grades are required.

Subsea Technology:
Prerequisite: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Marine Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent. Additionally, 1 semester (1/2 year) of courses in mathematics with good grades are required.

Please note that the lack of qualified applicants for any of the offered specialisations may lead to cancellation of the offer of an area of specialisation.  Applicants who have completed or are in the process of completing a similar MSc degree will not be prioritized for admission.
