Objectives: 
The course shall provide participants with an updated view of treaties, institutions, and structures which defines the conditions and possibilities for European business. The participants will thorough the assignments have possibilities for in-depth work on selected topics. The course uses English as lectured language, and the lecturers are from organizations and institutions in Norway and elsewhere in Europe working with the lectured topics.

Contents:
The list is an intention of topics. The topics may change according to which lecturers that are available.
1. EU´s development from Rome treaty to 27 member states..
2. The Economic and Monetay Union EMU. Driving forces, conditions, strength and weaknesses.
3. EUcompetition law
4. EUs way towards common foreign policy
5. European culture understanding for business
6. International Governmental Organisations
7. Norway and the EU
8. Europe as a homemarket - the pan-european company

Method of work:
The topic will be lectured in English (except if lecturer is norwehgian and all students present are Norwegian) There are 8-10 unevenly distributed lectures planned, but this may change depending on availability of lecturers. Information of dates etc for lecture will be available at start of course.

In addition there will be an information meeting at start of term with admission application list for acceptance to the itslearning system.

Literature:
Most of the content are available on the internet and is gathered on the itslearning together with content from the lectures. Additional information for assignments are to be found on the internet. All deliveries and questions outside of class shall use itslearning.

Adjustments of course literature may occur. Final list will be available at the start of the course
