Q: What is the application deadline for studies at the UiS?
A: The application deadline varies according to which programme you intend to apply for:
- If your home institution has an agreement with UiS, you are welcome to apply as an exchange student: Read more.
- Applicants to our international master programmes and Norwegian Language and Culture Course: Read more
- International applicants, with a residence permit in Norway, who wish to apply for UiS degree programmes taught in Norwegian: 1 March. Read more (in Norwegian)
Q: How often are Master courses held, and when is the application deadline?
A: All Master programmes start in the autumn semester and classes start in August. There are also a couple of programmes that only admit students bi-annually. The application deadline varies from programme to programme. For more information, please go to the menu option “Application for Admission” under each individual programme.
