Study programmes in Norwegian

If you intend to apply for admission to one of our programmes in Norwegian, you have to fulfill the following requirements:

  1. Minimum requirements for admission to Norwegian universities
  2. Documentation showing how the stay is to be financed. 
    • A minimum of NOK 87 600 - per year is required. Read more.
    • Please contact your local Norwegian embassy for more information.

Application procedures are quite different for students who DO and who DO NOT meet the Norwegian language requirements:

  • If you DO NOT meet the Norwegian language requirements, you may be interested in the Norwegian Language and Culture programme.
    Please note that the Norwegian Language and Culture programme does not in itself qualify for a residence permit in Norway. You need to apply for this programme, as well as a study programme taught in Norwegian intended for the following academic year at the same time.
  • If you DO meet the Norwegian language requirements, you may apply directly for the programmes offered in Norwegian. Please read more (in Norwegian) about the application procedures.
