If your home institution has an agreement with UiS, you are welcome to apply as an exchange student.

APPLICATION GUIDE
All required documentation must be sent by e-mail to admissions@uis.no in pdf format. Write EXCHANGE followed by your name in the subject field. Example: EXCHANGE John Smith. No paper copies will be accepted.
Required documentation:
1. Online registration form
2. Application for Admission
3. ECTS Learning Agreement
4. Nomination Letter sent directly from your home institution to admissions@uis.no.
5. Official Transcript of Records from all university education (both bachelor’s and if applicable, master’s level) in English or in a Scandinavian language, sent by the home institution to admissions@uis.no. The Transcript of Records must contain a description of the grading system. 6. Recent photo. 7. Documentation of financial maintenance (applies only to non-EEA applicants)
8. Transcript of Records from post-secondary school (applies only to students from Finland and Iceland who intend to take courses taught in Norwegian)
Deadlines for submitting the application:
Autumn semester (August - December): 1 May (1 April for students of Nursing)
Spring semester (January - June): 1 November (1 October for students of Nursing)
Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
The above dates apply only to EEA citizens who are going on bilateral exchange or nationals of countries with which Norway has signed a visa waiver agreement (see www.udi.no) *. Students from other countries need a visa and/or residence permit before departure and are therefore recommended to apply two months earlier.
Applicants who would like to apply for student housing must submit the application for exchange and the application for accommodation at the same time.
