Norwegian Language and Culture

An intensive, 1-year-long course in Norwegian Language and Culture, which aims to give students the language qualifications to enter Bachelor's and Master's degrees taught in Norwegian at the University of Stavanger.

This full-time course for international students in Norwegian Language and Culture (called also NOMSA) is a preparatory year for students who are applying for admission to study programmes taught in Norwegian only.

Please note that the course combination below is valid for current academic year. Course combination for 2011-2012 will be published in June 2011.

Entry: Admission to the course presupposes that the student meets the requirements for general study qualifications in Norway.

Admission to the Norwegian Language and Culture programme does not, in itself, make a student eligible for a Norwegian visa. In order to obtain a visa, students must present evidence that they intend to pursue further studies in Norway. Their application must also include a conditional offer of a place in a study programme the following year.
