Nordic language and literature – bachelor’s degree programme
The programme (180 ECTS) provides a basic understanding of Nordic languages (particularly Norwegian), linguistic development in Norway and the other Nordic countries, and Nordic literature and literary history.
The preliminary examen philosophicum (10 ECTS) and examen facultatum (10 ECTS) are compulsory, and incorporated in the course. The bachelor’s degree in Nordic language and literature is a three-year lower degree in which Nordic studies represent the specialisation subject (80 ECTS). A general subject (60 ECTS) must also be selected. The philosophy exam can be included in the general subject requirement.
The student can choose between five general subjects for the bachelor’s degree programme in Nordic language and literature: English, French, history, Christianity/religion (KRL) and German. The programme also includes an optional semester yielding 30 ECTS.
Nordic language and literature – one-year programme
The one-year programme on Nordic language and literature (60 ECTS) provides a basic knowledge of Nordic languages (particularly Norwegian), linguistic development in Norway and the other Nordic countries, and Nordic (particularly Norwegian) literature and literary history.
The course is built up from individual subjects which form part of the bachelor’s degree programme in Nordic language and literature.
Nordic languages and literature – half-year intermediate programme The course is designed to provide students with intermediate knowledge within a given thematic field related to Nordic language and literature.
