The course for subject teachers in music or dance is designed for graduates of the three-year programme in these subjects. The course counts as 60 ECTS credits and is normally taken part-time over two years. The course may also be offered as a one-year full-time course, please check with the institute to see if this option is available.
Teaching practice is often organised in the classroom, but can also take the form of various projects, presentations and seminars. Practical teacher training in music and dance qualifies for teaching jobs at the intermediate and secondary stages in compulsory schooling, in further education, in local authority cultural colleges and various types of voluntary cultural activity.

The practical teacher training course (one-year) is designed for those who already have a completed bachelor's degree in music or dance and who wish to qualify as a teacher.
