Biological chemistry – biotechnology – bachelor’s degree programme

The three-year biological chemistry – biotechnology ¬¬– bachelor of science (180 ECTS) is a basic course with the overall aim of educating students who will acquire, through theoretical and technological knowledge, the expertise required for independent work in practical laboratory activities and who take responsibility for the interaction between technology, the environment and society.

The course is research-based, is pitched academically at a high international level, and provides a basis for lifelong learning.

It offers more in-depth study of fundamental chemical and biological subjects than the chemical – environmental biotechnology – bachelor of engineering programme.

Specialisation subjects cover organic chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, biological treatment methods and analytical chemistry.
