This is a one-year proramme that comprises various elements: art, culture and nature, image and visual communication, sculpture and thematic/project work, architecture, design and applied art, research and development work.
The student’s own creative and experimental work with different materials, techniques and aesthetic tools is central to the programme.
The programme is designed in accordance with the framework plan for general teacher training of 3 April 2004, and the current curriculum for compulsory primary and secondary schools in Norway.
Career options: The programme qualifies for teaching Arts and Crafts in schools when taken as part of a teacher's education. It can also qualify for working with children and adults on cultural and aesthethic projects. The programme can be incorporated into a bachelor's degree in the field of arts and humanities, or it can be taken as a further education programme for teachers who want to expand their range of subjects.
