Special education – master’s degree programme

The master’s degree in special education (120 ECTS) qualifies graduates for various types of special education work and for admittance to the PhD programme in special education.

Organised as a two-year full-time course, special modules are offered in three sub-areas: general topics in the field of special education, reading and writing difficulties, and social and emotional problems.

In the second year, students will follow courses in the theory of science, research methods and statistics as preparation for writing their thesis. The thesis is equivalent to 35 ECTS.

Applicants must have three years of pedagogic education or similar in order to be qualified.
