Linguistic Identities

Symposium at UiS, 12–13 September, room O-101, Hulda Garborgs Hus

The newly started programme area for research on Linguistic Identities (Språklege identitetar) arranges a two-day symposium 12-13 September. The idea is to explore the theme of language and identity from different angles and develop our profile as an active linguistics research group.

There will be three keynote lectures by guest speakers and thirteen papers by members of the group (languages: English and Norwegian) - see attached programme.  All sessions are open to everyone (space allowing), and we welcome all interested to join us for all or part of the programme!

The keynote speakers are:

Jukka Tyrkkö, Linnaeus University, Sweden

Ivar Berg, NTNU

Kristin Vold Lexander, University of Oslo
