I am primarily interested in research questions of differential geometry and mathematical physics, which find a natural marriage in string theory. This involves the study of manifolds of special and exceptional holonomy and their torsional generalizations, together with the associated moduli problems, effective physics and topological field theories. I am also interested in applications of such geometries in particle physics and gauge/gravity duality. Other areas of interest include various string dualities and other aspects of geometry, relativity and physics in general, such as the exact renormalisation group.
