My research interests are along the following three tracks:

  • research on psychosocial interconnections between culture, embodied experiences, health and illness (including breast cancer, ageing and dying)
  • research on psychosocial conditions for professional relational work in welfare, reflective practice, care and care ethic
  •  qualitative research methods and development of psychosocial methodology and new psychosocial methods

In 2018, I received a Young Outstanding Researcher award and grant from the University of Stavanger.

I'm a member of the Professional Relations in Welfare Professions research group and Network for Gender Research at the University of Stavanger, a founding member of the Association for Psychosocial Studies, Stavanger Breast Cancer Research Group at Stavanger University Hospital, Death: Emotions, Relations & Constructions (DERC). I am also an associate member of the research group Society, Health & Power (SHEP) at the Department of Interdisciplinary Health Sciences, Institute of Health & Society, University of Oslo. Since 2015, I have been a member of the Executive Committee in the International Research Group for Psycho-Societal Analysis.
