It was high level course combinded with social gatherings which included both at hike to the Pulpit Rock and a typical Norwegian Barbeque Party on Campus.
Participants were introduced to a set of parametric, semi- and non-parametric econometric models with applications that illustrated each of the models. The applications included production, cost, distance functions, etc. Special emphasis was given to modeling and estimating production/cost efficiency models. Both R and Stata programs were used in the LAB sessions. The class participants have obtained tools that enables them to undertake a research project using either parametric and/or semi- and non-parametric approaches.
Instructors and course coordinators were:
Professor Subal C. Kumbhakar, State University of New York at Binghamton and University of Stavanger
Professor Christopher F. Parmeter, University of Miami
Professor Ragnar Tveterås, University of Stavanger
