Research areas at the department

The department’s main objective is to contribute to the prevention of acute and chronic health problems and increase participation in school and work, by disability prevention strategies. Our focus is empowerment and self-management of illness.

  • Exploratory and theory generating research to understand health challenges and participation in school and work, both as individual and societal phenomena
  • The content, benefits, efficacy, and effectiveness of interventions aiming to improve health and participation in society
