How to get here

Stavanger is situated in South Western Norway with easy access by both from Oslo and Europe. There are direct flights from a number of European cities to Stavanger and frequent flights between Oslo and Stavanger.

Travel by plane

Busses run every 30 minutes from the airport and takes about 25 minutes to the city centre and the hotel

Travel by bus

There are also 3 daily trains between Oslo and Stavanger that takes 7 hour 40 minutes.

Where to stay

We have made reservations for all conference participants at the conference hotel Scandic Stavanger City Hotel and encourage all to stay at the conference hotel.  Prices for a single room per night incl. breakfast is NOK 1.100 and NOK 1.300 for a double room. Book your room directly to the hotel, either through e-mail  or by phone +47 21 61 52 00 and use «PUBSIC 2020» as a reference. Make your hotel reservation by December 14. After this date we can not guarantee any rooms.

Social events

All participants are welcome to join the PUBSIC social events.

We start off the conference on Wednesday the 29th with a Welcome Reception at The Norwegian Petroleum Museum (included in the conference fee) at 19.00 hours.

On Thursday 30th we invite you to the conference dinner at the innovative restaurant Ostehuset in the heart of Stavanger at 19.30 (price is NOK 750).

Conference Dinner, January 30th: 750

The conference fee includes the conference programme, conference material, welcome reception, lunches, coffee-breaks and 25% VAT.

Registration deadline: January 6th, but still open for late registrations
Conference fees will increase with NOK 500 after this date. Payment of conference fees are done online by credit card (Visa or Mastercard).

Cancellation policy
All cancellations must be sent to no later than January 14th. Cancellations until this date will be refunded less a NOK 500 processing fee. Cancellations after this date or now show at the conference will not be refunded.

Stavanger Innovation Week

In the last week of January (January 27 – 31), Stavanger hosts several conferences and events related to the topic of innovation, which are relevant for both academicians and practitioners. PUBSIC is one of them. Another conferences that may be of interest to take part in while in Stavanger is NORSI (The Norwegian Research School in Innovation) that arranges its annual research conference from 27th – 28th January 2020.
