This is the study programme for 2020/2021.


In the course the students will acquire fundamental and principal knowledge of the process of entering contract and the subsequent contract administration. The course analyses the life cycle of a procurement contract, from tender evaluation to project closure. After haven taken the course the students should have a fundamental knowledge of prequalification, the tendering process, and contract management.

Learning outcome

Acquire fundamental and principal insights into entering and administrating contracts. The course covers the life cycle of a procurement contract, from tender evaluation to project completion. After taking the course, the students shall have a basic understanding of prequalification, tenders, evaluation, contract award and contract monitoring.

Contents

Evaluation criteria for tenders - organisation and execution of the tender evaluation - negotiations and design of contract - standard contracts - change orders - contract violation - allocation of risk and responsibility between the contracting parties - contract administration - guarantees.
