Practical-pedagogical education in performing arts has a specialization in educational training within music, dance, drama, and theater. The faculty's PPU (Practical Pedagogical Education) section has a unique study and professional environment spanning across the artistic disciplines. The programmes profile is also characterized by a richly branched entrepreneurship within the artistic domain, with an emphasis on providing a foundation for versatile professional practice and pedagogy.

The faculty's PPU education has a unique profiling of pedagogy in music, dance, drama and theater. This profile is, among other things, characterized by a richly branched entrepreneurship within the art field, with emphasis on providing a basis for versatile practice and pedagogical professional efforts. The contact with the field of practice includes both pedagogical and performing areas.
The section also offers Continuing education for practice teachers in the arts, music, dance and theatre (15 ECTS). The study is session based and lasts for a whole academic year.
Bjergsted Cultural Park is a melting pot of working life, and the PPU education is a collaboration agreement with Stavanger Kulturskule and MDD at Stavanger Cathedral School. Otherwise, we are in various primary schools in Stavanger and Randaberg, and at Vågen upper secondary and Sandnes cultural school.
Everyone who teaches and guides in the PPU education has a high pedagogical and didactic competence and artistic background.
