Welcome to a festival in Bjergsted Culture Park

The Bjergsted Collaboration is opening its doors to an exciting festival filled with concerts and experiences throughout the Bjergsted area.
At Stavanger Concert Hall, Kuppelhallen, the Cathedral School’s Bjergsted department, Stavanger School of Culture, the University of Stavanger’s Faculty of Performing Arts, and Bjergsted Park, audiences will be treated to a programme brimming with music, creativity, and collaboration across disciplines and levels.
There will be a vibrant mix of concerts, performances, free workshops, choirs, bands, and dance both outdoors in the park and inside the various institutions’ buildings.
In the spirit of Stavanger Municipality having become a “singing municipality”, this will be marked with a kick-off featuring choirs from Rogaland during the Bjergsted Festival. The celebration opens with an official ceremony in the Fartein Valen Hall at Stavanger Concert Hall at 12pm. Here, the festival choirs will perform two joint opening numbers, followed by a ribbon-cutting and opening remarks.
Afterwards, the Bjergsted Festival continues as all institutions open their buildings and invite the public in for concerts, dance performances, theatre, “music from the very beginning”, dance workshops, drawing workshops, band and choir performances, and much more. There will truly be something for every taste!
The event is family-friendly, suitable for all ages, and all activities and performances are completely free of charge.
