Bjergsted Brass Festival 2026
Welcome to a chamber concert at St Petri Church on Friday 18 September at 7.30 pm, held in connection with the Bjergsted Brass Festival 2026.
The concert will feature a brass ensemble from the music programme at Vågen Upper Secondary School, conducted by Grethe Tonheim, Grenland Brass, Chris Robertson (euphonium) and Ida Mo Schanche (piano), as well as the Nordic Trombone Quartet.
The Bjergsted Brass Festival is an annual festival for brass players held in Bjergsted in Stavanger. The festival is a collaborative project between Stavanger Cultural School, Bjergsted Young Talents, the brass ensemble at Stavanger Cathedral School, the brass ensemble at Vågen Upper Secondary School, Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, the Norwegian Band Federation (Rogaland branch), the non-profit organisation Bjergsted Trombone Ensemble, and the Faculty of Performing Arts at the University of Stavanger.
