Christmas concert by Bjergsted Jazz Ensemble

Bjergsted Jazz Ensemble warmly invites you to their traditional Christmas concert at Spor 5 on Friday 5 December at 8pm.

Since 2010, the ensemble has delivered a long line of memorable concerts, featuring beloved Christmas songs in fresh and creative arrangements that swing and evoke a festive spirit.

The ensemble is made up of talented students from the jazz programme at the University of Stavanger, alongside professional musicians from the regional jazz scene. Bjergsted Jazz Ensemble is a project-based big band that has long been a cornerstone of the region’s cultural life. It is currently led by trumpeter and composer Simen Kiil Halvorsen.
