Bjergsted Brass Festival 2026
Welcome to the opening concert of the Bjergsted Brass Festival 2026 at St Petri Church on Wednesday 16 September at 7.30pm.
At the concert, Stavanger Cathedral School Brass Ensemble, conducted by Viggo Vea, will perform, along with the Bjergsted Brass Ensemble from the Faculty of Performing Arts at the University of Stavanger, and the Bjergsted Wind Ensemble featuring soloists Peter Moore (trombone) and August Schieldrop (tuba).
The Bjergsted Brass Festival is an annual festival for brass players held in Bjergsted, Stavanger. The festival is a collaborative project involving Stavanger Music and Arts School, Young Talents Bjergsted, the Stavanger Cathedral School Brass Ensemble, the Vågen Upper Secondary School Brass Ensemble, the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, the Norwegian Band Federation (Rogaland branch), the non-profit organisation Bjergsted Trombone Society, and the Faculty of Performing Arts at the University of Stavanger.
