Opera café: Songs my mother taught me

Welcome to Opera Café at Stavanger Concert Hall!

On the day before Mother’s Day, we place mothers at the centre: the newly blissful, the self‑sacrificing, the worried — and those who sing lullabies, tell stories, and carry the weight of history on their shoulders. Through opera and lieder, you will hear powerful, moving, and surprising musical portraits of motherhood in all its forms.

The programme includes music by Dvořák, Schumann, Verdi, Puccini, and Backer‑Grøndahl.
