Bjergsted Brass Festival 2026
Welcome to a soloist and chamber concert at St Petri Church on Saturday 19 September at 6.00 pm, held in connection with the Bjergsted Brass Festival 2026.
The concert will feature various ensembles from the university-level course, the Nordic Trombone Quartet, August Schieldrop (tuba) and Ida Mo Schanche (piano), as well as Peter Moore (trombone) and Ida Mo Schanche (piano).
The Bjergsted Brass Festival is an annual festival for brass players held in Bjergsted in Stavanger. The festival is a collaborative project between Stavanger Cultural School, Bjergsted Young Talents, the brass ensemble at Stavanger Cathedral School, the brass ensemble at Vågen Upper Secondary School, Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, the Norwegian Band Federation (Rogaland branch), the non-profit organisation Bjergsted Trombonelaug, and the Faculty of Performing Arts at the University of Stavanger.
