The Telephone

When the telephone rings, the world comes to a halt, and whatever seems most urgent must wait. But what happens when the phone never falls silent and the most important things are left unsaid?

The Telephone, or L’Amour à trois, is a one-act opera written by Gian Carlo Menotti. It was first performed in New York in 1947. On Friday 13 March at 7.30pm, you can experience it in the Eikenes Hall at the Faculty of Performing Arts in the Bjergsted Cultural Park. Come and enjoy a playful and perceptive opera about love, misunderstandings, and our dependence on the mobile phone. The performance is free of charge.
