Professor and Dean at the UiS School of Business and Law, Ola Kvaløy, has been awarded the Victor D. Norman Dissemination Prize for his outstanding ability to make economics accessible, engaging, and relevant to a broad audience.

The prize honours individuals who excel at communicating economic insights with academic depth while reaching beyond the university sphere to engage the public.
In its statement, the jury highlighted that Kvaløy “shares Victor Norman’s sharp pen and ability to place current issues in an economic context.”
For more than two decades, Kvaløy has been an active voice in the public debate — as a columnist, commentator, and contributor — and is a strong advocate for greater academic participation in public discourse.
“Dissemination is one of the most important responsibilities we academics have,” says Kvaløy.
