Confirmation of citizenship

From 2023, all applicants to studies at the Faculty of Performing Arts are required to upload a valid passport or national ID card to confirm citizenship. This is due to the introduction of tuition fees for applicants with citizenship outside the EU/EEA or Switzerland.

The Norwegian government has decided to introduce tuition fees for students who come from countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.

Exemption from paying the tuition fees

There are exceptions in the regulations, and these can be found on a separate website together with all other information about the introduction of tuition fees. Here you can read what information the International Office at UiS has published regarding the introduction of tuition fees.

Documentation of citizenship

Applicants who have been offered a study place at the Faculty of Performing Arts and start their studies in Autumn 2024, must document their citizenship by uploading one of the following options to Søknadsweb:

  • Passport or
  • ID-card or
  • Confirmation from the National Population Register
