Programme for the semester start week on campus Bjergsted

From Monday 17 August to Friday 19 August, opening ceremonies, information meetings and Fadder (sponsor) events will be arranged. Here you will find a programme overview for Campus Bjergsted.

Information meetings with attendance registration

There will be held information meetings for each study programme throughout week 33 on Campus Bjergsted. The meetings are mandatory, and are for both new and already active students. This means that all students at all levels must attend the information meeting for their study program. Find the schedule for your meeting in the overview below.

Students on the Bachelor programme in Music Performance with PPU as an elective in the 3rd year, have two information meetings. One for PPU and one for bachelor, both are mandatory.

Attendance for Digital studies

Students admitted to digital studies do not have to attend the semester start week. However, information meetings will be held for new students, either digitally or physically at a later time.

Digital Jazz studies/DigJazz

There will be a digital meeting with information for new students at Digjazz in week 33. A link to the meeting will be sent by e-mail in August from either the study coordinator or the teacher.

Digital conductor studies (choir)

There will be a meeting with information for new students during the first assembly in August, Friday 26 August. The time of the meeting will be announced during June.

Digital Conductor Studies (Band) and ConductIT

There will be a meeting with information for new students admitted to Digital Conductor Studies (Band) and ConductIT during the study first assembly at Conductor Week in August, … date… The time for the meeting will be announced during June.

10.30 - Fadder (sponsor) meeting on Campus Bjergsted

All new students at the Faculty of Performing Arts (UK) are asked to meet in the Eikenes hall at 10.30am for a meeting with Fadder (sponsor) leaders. There will be a joint departure to the Campus Ullandhaug later the same day, for the University's official opening ceremony and opening of the sponsor village.

12.00 - University's official opening ceremony on Campus Ullandhaug

The University of Stavanger opens the autumn semester with a solemn and informal opening ceremony for all students at 12.00pm on Campus Ullandhaug.

14.00 - Opening of the Fadder week

11.00 - 12.00 - Opening ceremony on Campus Bjergsted

The faculty arranges a separate opening ceremony with artistic elements on campus. The opening ceremony is for both students and staff.

12.00 - 13.00 - Social programme with lunch in Bjergsted Park.

The event will take place outside in Bjergstedparken after the opening ceremony. The event is open to all staff and students at the Faculty of Performing Arts! No sign-up is required.
