The AIxTech research group is a team of interdisciplinary experts focused on exploring the latest advances in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and other intelligent systems that are transforming the technological landscape. The group's research interests span a wide range of areas, including natural language processing, computer vision, deep learning, reinforcement learning, data analytics, security, privacy, blockchain and immersive technologies.

One of the primary objectives of the group is to identify and develop new applications for these technologies across a variety of domains, including healthcare, finance, transportation, and more. The group also seeks to address critical research questions in these areas, such as how to improve the interpretability and explainability of machine learning models, and how to optimize the performance of these systems in real-world settings.

In addition to conducting cutting-edge research, the AIxTech group is committed to fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing across the research community. Through conferences, workshops, and other events, the group provides a platform for researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas and collaborate on new projects.

Overall, the AIxTech research group is at the forefront of advancing the state of the art in AI and intelligent systems and is dedicated to developing new technologies and applications that have the potential to transform the world.

Activities

Ongoing and planned activities 2023.

  • Springer Nature Book series Frontiers of Artificial Intelligence, Ethics, and Multidisciplinary Applications: The series publishes research monographs, authored works by practitioners and case studies to highlight innovative and best practices, and edited volumes putting together varied perspectives.
  • Establishing an annual International Conference: 1st International Conference on Frontiers of Artificial Intelligence, Ethics and Multidisciplinary Applications (FAIEMA). FAIEMA will provide a platform for researchers, leaders, decision-makers, and policymakers to share their research and insights on the forefronts of AI, with a particular focus on ethical, explainable, privacy-preserving, trustworthy, and sustainable approaches. This conference is a response to the growing need among those working on artificial intelligence in academia, business and industry, and the public sector to explore opportunities in this constantly evolving field.
  • Joint Research Funding Application: Interested members within the group will evaluate relevant calls within the National and EU funding scheme and collaborate to develop a funding application. Atleast one funding application is planned.
  • Joint Research Publications: Members with similar research interests would collaborate to work and publish joint scientific papers. Atleast 3 joint papers are planned.
