Inge tries his hand at magic by making an egg float in the middle of the water. But is it really magic?

It floats!
You need:
- Two eggs
- Two beakers
- Salt, sodium chloride, ca. 400 grams
Recipe:
- Empty the salt into one of the beakers, fill it approx. ¼ up with water and stir so that you have a saturated saline solution. Carefully add water to the same glass so that it settles on top of the brine
- Add approx. ¼ water in the other glass
- Place an egg in each beaker
In the first glass, the egg will sink until it hits the saline solution, and settle there. In the other glass, the egg will sink to the bottom, and then rise again as a result of the hydrochloric acid corroding the eggshell, so that it becomes lighter again.
