The Clinical Neuroscience Group serves as a bridge between the experimental research performed at the Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience Lab and clinical research performed at Stavanger University Hospital and other local health facilities.
Some of the clinical conditions investigated in the group are chronic pain, Parkinson´s disease, addiction and cancer. The common interest is a biopsychological approach to understanding clinical disorders. During the fall of 2023, the Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience Lab is building facilities that enable extensive biosampling combined with experimental psychological testing.
