Content
The equivalence principle, metric, space time curvature, tensor analysis, Einsteins field equations, the Schwarzschild solution, tests of general relativity, relativistic stars, gravitational collapse, black holes, gravitational waves, homogenous and isotropic universe models, the early universe.
Learning outcome
The students shall master the physical principles and the mathematical formalism of the General Theory of Relativity, and know its most important physical consequences. They shall have knowledge of basic cosmological consequences and central cosmological models. They shall be able to comprehend the scientific literature of the field and use the theory to independently analyze simple cosmological problems.

Course assessment
There must be an early dialogue between the course supervisor, the student union representative and the students. The purpose is feedback from the students for changes and adjustments in the course for the current semester. In addition, a digital subject evaluation must be carried out at least every three years. Its purpose is to gather the students experiences with the course.
