This course is a practical laboratory course whereby the objectives are to gain theoretical understanding and practical skills needed for the execution and reporting of laboratory tests used for water and wastewater treatment analysis and process design.

There are a total of nine lab exercises and reports that must be completed and submitted in the course. The last two lab reports are graded and form the basis for the student's final grade in the course.
Coursework requirements
Seven lab exercises must be completed and lab reports approved, before the student is given access to the two lab reports which form the basis for the grade in the subject.
Note: The excursions are part of the lab activties and are strongly recommended, but not obligatory.
