Knowledge
Students will have knowledge about
- The main instruments and features of money- and capital markets
- The main instruments and features of foreign exchange markets
- The determination of interest rates
- The investment alternatives available to households and small firms
- Optimal investments, financing and savings given personal preferences and financial constraints
- Principles of pension plans, the role of taxes and other relevant regulations
Skills
Students will learn how to
- Assess and manage foreign exchange rate risk
- Calculate interest rate risk on bond investments
- Assess the risk and costs related to financial investments
- Use real-world skills necessary to design, execute, and evaluate investment proposals that meet financial objectives

Course assessment
There must be an early dialogue between the course supervisor, the student union representative and the students. The purpose is feedback from the students for changes and adjustments in the course for the current semester.In addition, a digital subject evaluation must be carried out at least every three years. Its purpose is to gather the students experiences with the course.
