Introduction
This course provides an introduction to Product Development and 3D-Modelling. The focus is on the different processes which lead to the realization of a product. 3D-Modelling is on the formulation and generation of curves, surfaces and volume as well as the generation and representation of product data.
Knowledge about:
- The processes that lead to the realization of a product.
- The fundamentals of the CAD-system and its functionality in product design and product development.
- The mathematical basis for making digital geometric models.
- Basics about the storage and exchange of product data.
Skills:
Use of CAD-software in 3D modelling for product design and product development.
General competence:
- Knowledge about the organizing, planning and evaluation of teamwork
- Experience with various practical and digital work

Coursework requirements
4 mandatory assignments: 2 assignments in Product Development and 3D modelling and 2 assignments in CAD.
Further, work requirements are 3 works in CAD with mandatory attendance and hand-ins.
All mandatory activities must be approved in order to access the written exam.
Mandatory work can be written in English.
