In today's dynamic and uncertain market landscape, the ability to foster strategic thinking and conduct strategic analysis is pivotal for companies striving to adapt and thrive. Strategic thinking empowers businesses to navigate the complexity of the market, ensuring they can proactively respond to changing circumstances. Meanwhile, strategic analysis enables organizations to decipher interdependence and uncertainty, providing the essential guidance for successful decision-making.

This course is tailored for students in the management major. It offers an in-depth exploration of strategic analysis using methodology in Game Theory and theories in Industrial Organization, with a strong emphasis on a strategic thinking mindset, practical applications, and real-world case studies. In this course, students will cultivate the ability to think strategically and critically and utilize real-world case studies to translate theoretical tools and knowledge into practical applications. This course is designed to equip students with concepts, theories, techniques, and tools on strategic analysis for decision-making in business and management.

Method of work

In this course, you will learn through a mixture of lectures, teamwork, case discussions, and independent study.
