PhD Project Course in Civil and Offshore Structural Engineering

The course will contain topics at the advanced level in civil and offshore structural engineering. The course is intended to bring the candidate to the research front in an area pertaining to his/her PhD project.

Learning outcome

After completing the course, the candidate shall have state-of-the-art knowledge of the topic within the field and be able to carry out research and development within his/her PhD research area.

Both components must be passed in order to pass the course as a whole.

Students who do not pass the report, can take this again the next time the course is taught.

The course is open for students registered for PhD study within the relevant research area.

Course assessment

The faculty decides whether early dialogue will be held in all courses or in selected groups of courses. The aim is to collect student feedback for improvements during the semester. In addition, a digital course evaluation must be conducted at least every three years to gather students’ experiences.
