Programme for the semester start week on campus Bjergsted

From Monday 16 August to Friday 20 August, opening ceremonies, information meetings and fadder events will be arranged. Here you will find a complete programme overview for Campus Bjergsted.

Information meetings with attendance registration

There will be held information meetings for each study programme throughout week 33 on Campus Bjergsted. The meetings are mandatory, and are for both new and already active students. This means that all students at all levels must attend the information meeting for their study program. Find the schedule for your meeting in the overview below.

Students on the Bachelor programme in Music Performance with PPU as an elective in the 3rd year, have two information meetings. One for PPU and one for bachelor.

Digital study programmes

Students admitted to digital studies do not have to attend the semester start week. Information about gatherings and digital information meetings is sent by e-mail from the study coordinator and / or responsible teachers.

10.00am - Fadder meeting on Campus Bjergsted

All new students at the Faculty of Performing Arts (UK) are asked to meet in auditorium 1301 (next to the library) at 10.00am for a meeting with fadder leaders. There will be a joint departure to the Campus Ullandhaug later the same day, for the University's official opening ceremony and opening of the fadder village.

12.00pm - University's official opening ceremony on Campus Ullandhaug

The University of Stavanger opens the autumn semester with a solemn and informal opening ceremony - physically if the infection situation and restrictions allow it - for all students and staff at 12.00pm on Campus Ullandhaug.

14.00pm - Opening of the Fadder week

11.00am - 13.00pm - Opening ceremony on Campus Bjergsted

The faculty arranges a separate opening ceremony with artistic elements on campus. The opening ceremony is for both students and staff.

Location: The Dome Hall on Campus Bjergsted

13.00pm - 14.00pm - Social programme with lunch in Bjergsted Park.

The event will take place outside in Bjergstedparken after the opening ceremony. Due to food service and infection control restrictions, registration will be made for the entire opening event.

Information meeting for Digital Conducting studies and Digital School Band studies.

15.00pm - 18.00pm - Meet and greet at Folken

Folken invites all students to a meet and greet event.
